Simply add some of the food to a jar and add a few drops of your acidic or alkaline testing solution. This will tell you how acidic or alkaline the food is.Another way to test acids is to add them to a piece of cheese. This gives a very quick answer to the question. After all, when a salt and an acid are in contact, the two acids neutralise each other, so there shouldn't be any problem.Remember that the stronger the acid, the more difficult it is to neutralise it.
