If you want to study for your exam, it is important to find out how acidic or alkaline food is so that you can balance it with other foods, if necessary.If you are teaching yourself acid chemistry, the easiest way to start is by usi ng a sample of food to prepare. Simply add some of the food to a jar and add a few drops of your acidic or alkaline testing solution. This will tell you how acidic or alkaline the food is.Another way to test acids is to add them to a piece of cheese. This gives a very quick answer to the question. After all, when a salt and an acid are in contact, the two acids neutralise each other, so there shouldn't be any problem.Remember that the stronger the acid, the more difficult it is to neutralise it. For example, if you are eating yogurt, use an acid relative to test its acidity, and add it to your yogurt before testing it for other ingredients.
